• 50 ounces/1132 grams yarn
• Beg ch 3 counts as a dc
• Pattern written for a twin size afghan (approximately 63-inches by 73-inches)
• Rnd 2 is the solid granny round and Rnd 3 is the traditional granny round

Ch 48.
Rnd 1: 2 dc in 4th ch from hook. *(Ch 1, sk 3 ch, 3 dc in next ch). Rpt from * 9 times. 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc, ch2, 3 dc in last ch. *(Ch 1, sk 3 ch, 3 dc in next ch). Rpt from * 9 times. 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc, ch 2 and sl st into top of beg. ch-3.

Rnd 2: Ch 3 and 1 dc into corner sp. *(Dc across to next ch-2 corner sp. 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in corner sp). Rpt from * 2 times. Dc across; 2 dc, ch 2 and sl st into top of beg ch 3.

Rnd 3: Ch 3 and 2 dc in corner sp. *[(Ch 1, sk 3 st, 3 dc into next st). Rpt from * across to corner sp. 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in corner sp]. Rpt from ** 2 times. Ch 1, sk 3 st, 3 dc in next st, ch 1, sk 3 st, 3 dc in corner sp, ch 2 and sl st into top of beg ch-3.
